Description
I am interested in translating psychological issues that unfold in conscious and unconscious ways with individuals, couples, and groups. My goal is to help make those issues applicable and usable in daily life. I am committed to fostering healing, recovery and resiliency in the aftermath of trauma and disaster. I believe that understanding enhances mastery and reduces our sense of helplessness. From my national and international outreach to China, India, Haiti etc. as Co-Chair of Outreach for the American Group Psychotherapy Association as well as trauma work with individuals, couples, groups and uniformed services, I will pass on what they have helped me understand about the impact and recovery from traumatic events. You will find me writing and speaking about topics like Couples Reclaiming Sexual Intimacy, How Pets Can Improve Your Relationship, and Homecoming: Finding The Way Home From Trauma and War. I welcome your comments and will pass on information that I feel will be thought provoking and helpful.
